2027 · The Return with Purpose
The Pledge
The next chapter · an invitation to those who stayed with the story
2027 stands here as the next chapter, not a year of achievements already completed. The return TheIssa is working toward is not a return to the person he was in 2016. It is the chance to bring what those years taught him into a life—and a body of work—that other people can encounter.
The pledge is to finish what deserves release, prepare with discipline, and meet an audience honestly. Derek, his grandmother, Kyler, his parents, younger relatives, and the relationships changed by betrayal or distance remain part of that purpose. Some stories have an ending; others remain open. Bringing them into art does not require making every wound beautiful or every absence resolved.
The practical foundation is the one described in Fund the Next Era of TheIssa: a photography and cinematography studio, music software and recording tools, and a safe, accessible production environment. These are intended to support finished music, original films and photographs, an open record of the process, sustainable creative services, and his debut public multimedia presentation—not milestones already achieved. The studio would give the work somewhere to become real, not merely somewhere to remain imagined.
For this independent Black artist, support is an invitation to help create those conditions. Attention has carried the story this far; the responsibility for finishing its next chapter remains his. The journey began with an inner world large enough to hold what he could not change. Its next movement is outward: making something from that world that can be heard, shared, and lived alongside the people who are still here.
